  Have a Brother that was sent to Barnwell for Rehabilitation & only being there 4 days, he's already had some clothes missing! He's spoken to many individuals, going on 2 days now & their response is: "We'll fill out a report and we'll look into it." Filling out a Report doesn't get one's underwear back! I'm sure they wouldn't want to go without underwear!! Yes, I don't want to loop all staffers as the bad seeds, because there is always good in the bunch, but when my Brother is dealing with these problems already, just being there for 4 days...He's already wanting out!!
  
  Seems to be lack of communication amongst the staff as well. One will say, Yea, you can go outside for some fresh air, the next will say, no you can't leave the floor. I'd be agitated too!
  
  Their Physical Therapy (which is the main focus my Brother is there for) program, per my Brother, is lacking. There is no set time/schedule. It's up to the individual to go to PT themselves! Some may not be that motivated & just slack off from time to time. Be nice if the Physical Therapist came to your room, picked you up, & whisked you off to PT. That way you know for sure you have PT scheduled! My Brother is supposed to go Monday - Friday, 2 times a day!
  
  And like many other reviews I've read: This place has many staffers that 'just don't care!' Which probably is due to under staffing & being under paid! Prime Example of a 'don't care from staffers': Brother knows of an older Woman there that has Alzheimer's & he's mentioned it to the staff of her constant screaming & the staff says this: "We know, she does that a lot." AND they ignore her!! That is someone's Mom/Wife/Daughter/Aunt for crying out loud!! Do Your Job! If you hate it so bad, quit! Don't punish those that are there for care & rehabilitation! Unfortunately, my Brother didn't have an option of a different facility. Had to go when a bed became available.

  If ur a minority you might not want to put your family member here or work here. It’s a VERYracist environment. The director of nursing compared racist insulting jokes to being called a “dumb blonde”. Hand on bible. Some employees are good but the staff environment is horrible. The floors are ALWAYS short. Some workers don’t even clean patients or make up beds. I’ve seen patients on stained sheets more times than I can count. Meds are never passed out on time because they are so short on nurses. Turn over rate is HIGH unless ur friends with the DON. I was harassed by an Lpn (incidents documented) yet when I complained to the DON she chose to fire me (without any prior write ups attendance fine) instead of the nurse who fell asleep on her night shift for 3 hours while a patient fell and broke her hip. I don’t know y this place is still operational. Please don’t leave your loved ones here
  Even the food choices are ridiculous. On CHRISTMAS DAY residents were given ham sandwiches for dinner. These ppl will fire good employees over favoritism, racism, and pretty much for no reason other than the fact one person doesn’t like the other and is friends with the DON. Yet there are employees left there that don’t do changes when they are supposed to and don’t care for residents.
